John Robertson, aka King Robbo was a prominent English graffiti artist known for his graffiti and street art in London throughout the 80's

A new spotlight was shone on Robbo in 2009 when Banksy painted over one of the oldest graffiti pieces in London painted by Robbo in 1985.

A back and forth "Graffiti War" ensued with both artists claiming and reclaiming the iconic spot directly under the British Transport Police headquarters.

The feud was subject of a UK documentary titled Graffiti War. 

After an accidental fall in 2011 John Robertson sadly passed away from his sustained head injury in 2014.
